About

Currently I live in Portland, Oregon, USA and love to spend as much time as I can on the Oregon Coast. Born in California, I have lived all over Western USA, mostly near the ocean or in the mountains. I feel deeply connected to the landscape of the West.

My art making practice is an exploration, allowing curiosity and spaciousness to inform my process. Forms found in nature, humanity, and interconnectedness inspire me. This creative impulse is a meditation, a weaving of invocations honoring our planet Earth. I explore with a variety of mediums, including acrylic paint, watercolor, pastel, wax, graphite, charcoal, ink, fabric, paper, thread, wood, and found objects. I am drawn to the mystery of things unseen and the dance between chaos and order. I work with layers, textures, and negative space to create and invite the viewer into a world of curiosity and contemplation.

I am a member of The New Five Collective. ‘We are five women artists working together, devoted to bridging spirit and matter into being. The beautiful world that our hearts know is possible, is intentionally created in various mediums through the color realms. We bring our work into public spaces, celebrating the joy of life together, collectively holding hope for all living beings.’ https://www.facebook.com/TheNewFiveCollective
